Real Clever Science

My name is Ari Einbinder. This is the journal of my travels into the realm of science and science education.
Currently I'm interning at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, and I'm also one of Tumblr's Science Section editors.

I discuss anything that fascinates me, but popular topics include evolution, transhumanism (e.g BCI), futurism, psychology, quantum computing, climate change, sustainability, genetic engineering and occasionally politics - to name a few.

Enjoy!

Creationism, Intelligent Design, etc.

Some days I find it amusing; other days I find it annoying.

Today is the latter. (At least after watching this. Always be wary of videos that disable ratings.)

I understand that people have strong emotional and religious views which relate to sciences, but don’t mislead people, don’t set-up a double-standard, don’t defy facts, don’t ignore 99.99% of the scientific community, don’t force your religious views on others, and don’t interfere with science.

You want to teach your kids privately why you think it’s wrong or not the full story, go ahead. But let kids learn what the greatest minds on earth have worked to discover. It’s their right, and essential for America to stay scientifically literate.

P.s. I’m hoping to visit a local “creation museum” (i.e. theme park) in WA with some of my museology friends. It’s gonna take a lot of self-control to get through it!
